All buildings over 5 minutes response time, <br /> as determined by the Fire Chief, from a City <br /> fire station. <br /> <br /> 3. Any structure in an area determined by the <br /> Fire Chief to be a high fire hazard area <br /> except that in any one and two family <br /> residential structures the current NFPA 13-D <br /> Standard shall be followed when installing <br /> automatic fire extinguishing systems. A <br /> hazard area shall be defined as those areas <br /> beyond five minutes driving time of fire <br /> apparatus from the fire station serving those <br /> particular districts or areas determined by <br /> the Fire Chief to be either high hazard areas <br /> or extreme hazard areas based on steepness of <br /> slope and/or fuel loadings from combustible <br /> plant materials as set forth in the Safety <br /> Element of the General Plan. <br /> <br /> 20.08.050 Section 1503 amended - Roof-Covering <br /> Requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 1503 of the Uniform Building Code is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Roof-Covering Requirements. The roof covering <br /> on any structure regulated by this Code shall <br /> be as specified in Table 15-A and as <br /> classified in Section 1504. The roof-covering <br /> assembly includes the roof deck, underlayment, <br /> interlayment, insulation and covering which is <br /> assigned a roof-covering classification. <br /> <br /> Notwithstanding other sections of this Code <br /> the following roof covering requirements shall <br /> apply in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Fire retardancy, when required. All roof <br /> coverings on all structures shall have a <br /> minimum of a Class A roofing assembly. <br /> <br /> Exceptions: Buildings of III, IV and V <br /> construction which are not located in <br /> Hazard Areas, where it may one of the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> <br />
