Ordinance No. 1669 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council finds that because of the reasons <br /> stated, the State of California adopted Model Code design <br /> specifications in their entirety do not adequately <br /> address the goals of the City of Pleasanton provided for <br /> in Health and Safety Code Section 18930 (7)(A); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council finds that because of the local <br /> topography and recent seismic activity in the City of <br /> Pleasanton and pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section <br /> 17922 and as allowed by Health and Safety Code Section <br /> 17958.5, the requirements of Sections 20.08.048, <br /> 20.08.053, 20.08.55, 20.08.57 and 20.12.140 of this <br /> Ordinance are necessary for the health, safety and <br /> welfare of the residents of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 20.04 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as <br /> amended, is hereby further amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> ,20.04.010 Uniform Administrative Code adopted. <br /> (Subsection A, no change.) <br /> <br /> B. The Code is the Uniform Administrative <br /> Code, 1994 Edition, prepared by the <br /> International Conference of Building <br /> Officials, three copies of which are on <br /> file with the City Clerk for use by the <br /> public. <br /> <br /> (Subsection C, no change.) <br /> <br /> (Section 20.04.020, no change.) <br /> <br /> 20.04.030 Fees <br /> <br /> The fees set forth in Section 304.1 of the <br /> Uniform Administrative Code are deleted. The <br /> Uniform Administrative Code fees shall be as <br /> set forth in the City of Pleasanton Schedule <br /> of Fees and Charges." <br /> <br /> Section 2. Chapter 20.08 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as <br /> amended, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "20.08.010 Uniform Buildinq Code adopted. <br /> <br /> A. There is adopted by reference that <br /> certain Code known as the Uniform <br /> Building Code, Parts 1, 2 and 3, more <br /> <br /> <br />
