b. The development shall meet all requirements of the <br /> Pleasanton Fire Code (Chapter 20.24 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code) in effect at the time of issuance of <br /> building permits. All townhouses in Areas "A" and "B" <br /> shall be sprinklered; the single-family units in Area <br /> "C" will not be required to be sprinklered unless the <br /> City Fire Code is amended prior to issuance of building <br /> permits to require sprinklers of these units. <br /> <br /> c. The number, type and location of fire hydrants shall be <br /> subject to the approval of the Fire Marshall and the <br /> City Engineer. <br /> <br /> d. The applicant shall ensure that fire protection <br /> facilities, including surface roads, fire hydrants, and <br /> a water supply capable of furnishing the required fire <br />~ flow, shall be installed and serviceable prior to and <br /> during the time of construction. When alternative <br /> methods of protection are approved by the Fire <br /> Marshall, this requirement may be waived or modified. <br /> Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall <br /> be submitted, in writing, to the Fire Marshall. Work <br /> on the alternative fire protection methods shall not <br /> start without the approval of the Fire Marshall. <br /> <br /> e. All roads on the site are designated as fire apparatus <br /> access roads by the Fire Marshall and must be <br /> maintained in accordance with Section 2.01 of the <br /> Uniform Fire Code. Roads in each construction phase <br /> must be accessible at all times from the start of <br /> construction until the project is completed. Except <br /> for Area "C", curbs must be painted red or "No Parking" <br /> signs provided as required by the vehicle code in the <br /> areas where parking is prohibited. <br /> <br /> f. The applicant shall indicate the location of lighted <br /> street diagrams and directories in Areas "A" and "B" <br /> where required by the Planning Director and Fire <br /> Marshall on the tentative map. The design of the <br /> directories shall be submitted to the Planning Director <br /> for review and approval prior to City Council action on <br /> the final map. The directory for each project area <br /> shall be installed prior to occupancy of any units in <br /> that area. <br /> <br /> g. The site shall be kept free of fire hazards from the <br /> start of construction to final inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />
