CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1595 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.08.080 OF THE PLEASANTON MII~ICIPAL CODE AND ADDING SECTION 13.08.205 TO THE PLEASANTON M~NICIPAL CODE, CONCERNING DOGS AND HANG GLIDING IN AUGUSTIN BERNAL PARK THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Section 4 (part) of Ordinance 1428 and Section .... 13.08.080 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby further amended to read as follows: "Section 13.08.080 Doqs; Doqs in Auqustin Bernal Park A. No person shall allow or permit a dog in a park and recreation facility except as provided in Section 7.16.010 of this Code and except as provided in Subsection B below. B. Dogs shall be leashed at all times in any picnic area, gathering site, or irrigated lawn area of the Augustin Bernal Park. A dog, except a dangerous dog, shall be permitted to be off a leash in an undeveloped area, not within 100 feet of a developed area, provided the dog is under the control of an individual responsible for the dog. The individual in control of or responsible for a dog shall place the dog's waste in a garbage receptacle if the waste is in a developed area or within 100 feet thereof. For purposes of this subsection, the following definitions shall apply: 1. A "dangerous dog" means: (a) Any dog which, when unprovoked, inflicts a bite, or attacks a human being or domestic animal, either on public or private property, or in a vicious or terrorizing manner, approaches any person in apparent attitude of attack upon the streets, sidewalks, or any public grounds or places; or (b) Any dog which has a known propensity, tendency or disposition to attack unprovoked, to cause injury, or to otherwise endanger the safety of human beings or domestic animals; or
