CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1595 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.08.080 OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON MII~ICIPAL CODE AND ADDING SECTION <br /> 13.08.205 TO THE PLEASANTON M~NICIPAL CODE, <br /> CONCERNING DOGS AND HANG GLIDING IN AUGUSTIN <br /> BERNAL PARK <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 4 (part) of Ordinance 1428 and Section <br />.... 13.08.080 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby <br /> further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 13.08.080 Doqs; Doqs in Auqustin Bernal Park <br /> <br /> A. No person shall allow or permit a dog in a park and <br /> recreation facility except as provided in Section <br /> 7.16.010 of this Code and except as provided in <br /> Subsection B below. <br /> <br /> B. Dogs shall be leashed at all times in any picnic <br /> area, gathering site, or irrigated lawn area of the <br /> Augustin Bernal Park. A dog, except a dangerous <br /> dog, shall be permitted to be off a leash in an <br /> undeveloped area, not within 100 feet of a <br /> developed area, provided the dog is under the <br /> control of an individual responsible for the dog. <br /> The individual in control of or responsible for a <br /> dog shall place the dog's waste in a garbage <br /> receptacle if the waste is in a developed area or <br /> within 100 feet thereof. For purposes of this <br /> subsection, the following definitions shall apply: <br /> <br /> 1. A "dangerous dog" means: <br /> <br /> (a) Any dog which, when unprovoked, inflicts <br /> a bite, or attacks a human being or domestic <br /> animal, either on public or private property, <br /> or in a vicious or terrorizing manner, <br /> approaches any person in apparent attitude of <br /> attack upon the streets, sidewalks, or any <br /> public grounds or places; or <br /> <br /> (b) Any dog which has a known propensity, <br /> tendency or disposition to attack unprovoked, <br /> to cause injury, or to otherwise endanger the <br /> safety of human beings or domestic animals; or <br /> <br /> <br />
