Ordinance No. 1584 <br />Page Seventeen <br /> <br /> 5. amount of fare collected; <br /> <br /> 6. the major street routes the Driver took to arrive <br /> at the passenger's destination. <br /> <br /> B. The Owner of every such Taxicab shall keep the Manifests <br /> in the Owner's office files for a period of ninety days <br /> after date of service is rendered, and the same shall at <br /> all convenient times be open to examination by the Police <br /> Chief. The falsifying of any Manifest by an Owner or by <br /> a Driver shall be grounds for revocation of the Driver's <br /> permit and Owner's Certificate. <br /> <br /> 6.40,270 Taxicabs from Other Municipalities. <br /> <br /> The Driver of a Taxicab authorized to operate in any <br /> municipality other than the City may transport passengers from <br /> such municipality to a destination within or beyond the City <br /> limits, provided that the Driver of such Taxicab shall not <br /> seek or accept passengers within the City except upon the <br /> return trip to such other municipality, and shall accept only <br /> passengers whose destination is directed to a point beyond the <br /> limits of the City in the direction of the municipality from <br /> which such Taxicab came. <br /> <br /> 6.40,280 Enforcing Official. <br /> <br /> The Police Chief is given the authority and is instructed to <br /> watch and observe the conduct of permit holders and Drivers <br /> operating under this Chapter. Upon discovering a violation of <br /> this Chapter, the Police Chief shall initiate appropriate <br /> action. <br /> <br /> 6.40,290 Complaint Procedure by Passengers. <br /> <br /> A. Complaints. A fare-paying passenger utilizing a Taxicab <br /> authorized under this chapter shall have the right to <br /> file a redress against the Owner, Driver of a Taxicab, or <br /> the conditions of the Taxicab. The Police Chief will <br /> accept and investigate complaints received from any fare- <br /> paying passenger. <br /> <br /> B. Complaint Form. Every Taxicab authorized to operate <br /> under this Chapter shall have readily displayed in the <br /> passenger area a copy of the complaint procedure with a <br /> blank form stating with whom to file the complaint. <br /> <br /> C. Investigation of Complaint. A thorough investigation of <br /> all complaints will be made and the investigation will be <br /> labeled either "sustained," "unfounded," or "sustained on <br /> grounds of other improprieties."
