Ordinance No. 1730 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Section 2: Section I (part) of Ordinance 1342, as mended, and Sections 11.54.010, <br /> 11.54.020, 11.54.030 and 11.54.040 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "11.54.010 General restrictions <br /> <br /> A. It is unlawful for any person to ride a skateboard, roller skate, in-line skate, <br /> or use any other similar nonmotorized device on public property, or on <br /> private property open to the public, where there has been posted in <br /> conspicuous places a sign (or signs) not less than seventeen inches by <br /> twenty-two inches (17" x 22"), with lettering not less than one inch (1") <br /> high, that states that skateboarding, or in-line skating, on the property is <br /> prohibited pursuant to this Section. <br /> <br /> B. In those areas designated by subsection A of this Section 11.54.010 and in <br /> those areas designated in Section 11.54.020, it is unlawful to ride a <br /> skateboard or to in-line skate on any sidewalk, street, mall, parking lot, <br /> parking garage, park or other public place. <br /> <br /> (Subsection C, deleted.) <br /> <br /> 11.54,020 Designation of prohibited areas. <br /> <br /> The following areas are designated as prohibited areas for riding skateboards, <br /> in-line skating, roller skates, or using similar, self-propelled devices: <br /> <br /> A. Publicly owned tennis courts; <br /> B. Publicly owned walls, park and street furniture, steps, railings, public art <br /> installations, and fountains; <br /> C. Any portion of construction projects, whether or not completed, located on <br /> public properly. <br /> <br /> <br />
