6.40.170 Change of Employment. <br /> <br /> If a driver changes his or her employment to a different owner, he or she shall within <br /> twenty-four (24) hours thereafter notify the Chief of Police for the purpose of having his or her <br /> Driver's Permit changed so as to properly designate the name of the new employer. <br /> <br /> 6.40.180 Change of Address. <br /> <br /> If a driver changes his or her residential address, he or she shall within ten (10) days <br />thereafter notify the Chief of Police for the purpose of having his or her Driver's Permit changed <br />so as to properly designate his or her residential address. <br /> <br />6.40.190 Driver's Permit - Suspension and Revocation. <br /> <br /> A Driver's Permit issued under the provisions of this Chapter may be suspended or <br />revoked at any time by the Chief of Police if the driver has: <br /> <br /> A. Been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude; <br /> <br /> B. Had his or her State driver's license suspended, revoked, or failed to maintain a <br />valid license; <br /> <br /> C. Been convicted of reckless driving or driving while under the influence of <br />alcoholic beverages or drugs; <br /> <br /> D. During any continuous six (6) month period, had two (2) or more convictions of <br />any offense involving driving; <br /> <br /> E. Has submitted to a drug/alcohol test in accordance with Section 53075.5 of the <br />Government Code, receiving positive results; or <br /> <br /> F. Violates any provisions of this Chapter. <br /> <br />6.40.200 Operating Requirements. <br /> <br /> A. A taximeter required: It is unlawful for any owner or driver to operate any taxicab <br />in the City unless such vehicle is equipped with a taximeter of such type, style and design as <br />may be approved by the Chief of Police. It shall be the responsibility of every owner operating a <br />taxicab to keep such taximeter in perfect condition so that said taximeter will, at all times, <br />correctly and accurately indicate the correct charge for the distance traveled and waiting time. <br /> <br /> Page 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
