CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1772 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLEASANTON <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CHAPTER 3.40 <br /> CREATING AND ESTABLISHING AN AREA <br /> DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE FOR THE NORTH <br /> SYCAMORE SPECIFIC PLAN AREA AND CERTAIN <br /> OTHER AREAS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Council of the City of Pleasanton finds and declares that: <br /> <br /> A. The City of Pleasanton provides public services and constructs and <br /> maintains public facilities for the benefit of residents, businesses, <br /> and employees throughout the City; <br /> <br /> B. The City of Pleasanton has adopted the City of Pleasanton General <br /> Plan which enumerates certain goals, including (1) assuring adequate <br /> urban services and infrastructure as needed to meet development <br /> demands; (2) protecting against environmental degradation and <br /> public safety hazards; (3) preserving Pleasanton's character and <br /> aesthetic qualities; (4) providing a safe and efficient circulation <br /> system and maintaining an acceptable traffic service level; and (5) <br /> accommodating anticipated growth; <br /> <br /> C. The City of Pleasanton General Plan includes a description of the <br /> general location, capacity, and types of capital facilities planned as a <br /> part of the City's development; and in accordance with the General <br /> Plan, the City of Pleasanton intends to expand its public facilities to <br /> serve new development and to maintain or improve existing levels of <br /> service for public facilities, including facilities to alleviate traffic <br /> congestion; <br /> <br /> <br />
