He stated
that this project will be a benefit to the City. Commissioner Arkin requested there be an amendment to
the motion to install a couple of electrical vehicle parking spaces in the project's parking lot. There is no
second to the amendment.

A motion was made by Commissioner Kumaran, seconded by Commissioner Maas, that the
Commission approved Case PUD-81-30-80D, subject to the conditions in Exhibit "B".

ROLLCALLVOTE

AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:
ABSTAIN:

Commissioners Arkin, Kumaran, Maas, and Chairperson Roberts
None
Commissioners Kameny and Sullivan
None

Resolution No. PC-99-72 was entered and adopted as motioned.

Commissioner Kumaran noted he did not second the amendment to the motion due to insufficient
information being received on electrical vehicle parking spaces. In
conclusion, Mr. Plucker noted that staff's recommendation is that the Commission find that the project
would not have a significant effect on the environment and adopt a resolution approving the attached
negative declaration and adopt a resolution recommending approval of Case RZ-99-04 to the City
Council.

Discussion ensued relating to whether house is considered a historical building and the previously
denied zoning application relating to the building at 325 Ray Street.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED

John Mavridis, 5303 Ridgevale Road, offered to answer any questions the Commission may have.

In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Maas, Mr. Mavridis noted that there are no plans in the near
future to build any office or retail buildings in this location.

Planning Commission Minutes October 13, 1999
Page 9
