been gathered in the form of an amendment to the EIR. He noted that this would give a formal
way for these comments to be included and would provide a good document for the Planning
Commission to vote on and would provide information if there are any questions by developers
as to the reasoning for these additional tests and areas of concern.

Chairperson Roberts noted that the Commission has not yet received this material and that Mr.
Swift is putting the information together for the Commission.

4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA

Mr. Plucker requested that Item 6.d., PUD-98-15, Mardel, LLC/Costas, be continued to
October 13, 1999; Item 6.e., RZ-98-03, City of Pleasanton, be continued indefinitely; and Item
6.f., PUD-99-03, William Kolb, Donna Miller, and Gene and Strom, be continued to October 13,
1999.

Commissioner Kameny requested that staff notify Scott Erickson when the secondary unit item
is placed on the agenda so that Housing Commission can be advised and attend if they desire.

Chairperson Roberts requested that consideration be given to moving Item 6.c., Pleasanton Hine
Land, LLC, forward on the agenda as this will be a very short item. The Commission agreed.

5. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION

There were none.

6. PUBLIC HEARINGS

Pleasanton Hines Land, LLC
Application to modify a condition of approval for the Pleasanton Corporate Commons
project, comprised of four, five-story office buildings totaling 604,750 square feet, to allow
construction activities between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The
project site is located at 6200-6230 Stoneridge Mall Road (generally located at the
southeast corner of Stoneridge Mall Road and Embarcadero Court). Zoning for the
property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C-O (Commercial-Office) District.

Commissioner Maas stated that she would abstain from this item, due to a conflict of interest.

Mr. Plucker presented the staff report, noting that staff is recommending approval, subject to a series of
stipulations to make sure there are no impacts to residential properties adjacent to future phases of the
construction area. He noted that the conditions prohibit construction activities that would generate an
excessive amount of noise, such as pile drivers and mass graders, as well as deliveries. He noted that
staff received two letters in support of the application (one from the General Manager for the Stoneridge
Apartments, and one from Masses), as well as a telephone call from a nearby resident in the apartment
complex, who was not concerned with Saturday operations, but expressed minor concern with starting
at 8:00 a.m. Mr. Plucker noted that staff believes there are enough save guards in place to allow limited
operations on Saturday.

PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 3 September 22, 1999
