Commissioner Kameny motioned to adopt a Resolution approving Case Z-99-175 subject to Exhibit <br />"B," Draft Conditions of Approval. Further, that staff be directed to work with the Fire Department to <br />address issues relating to the fuel-containment tank. Commissioner Sullivan offered a friendly <br />amendment that Condition No. 62 be amended to include that the Fire Department will explore and <br />implement additional spill prevention measures for the fuel tank to prevent spills from going into the <br />Arroyo. Commissioner Kameny expressed concurrence with including the friendly amendment. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Kameny, seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, to adopt a <br />Resolution approving Case Z-99-175 subject to Exhibit "B," Draft Conditions of Approval. <br />Further, that Condition No. 62 be amended to include that the Fire Department will explore and <br />implement additional prevention measures for the fuel tank to prevent fuel spills going into the <br />Arroyo; and, that the east elevation of the building, as discussed, will be modified to improve <br />visual impacts on the east elevation. <br /> <br />ROLLCALLVOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Kameny, Maas, Sullivan, and Vice-Chairperson Roberts <br />None <br />Chairperson Kumaran <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-99-46 was entered and adopted as motioned <br /> <br />Determination that the City's acquisition of an approximately 14,840 square-foot~ office <br />building on an approximately 29,979 square-foot site located at 157 Main Street for civic <br />center uses is in conformance with the City's General Plan. The Planning Commission will <br />also consider the Negative Declaration considered for the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift referenced a staff report dated July 14, 1999, and highlighted key areas contained in the report <br />including the project description. In conclusion, Mr. Swift noted that stafi~s recommendation is that the <br />Planning Commission adopt a resolution recommending approval of the attached draft Negative <br />Declaration; find that the project has a de minimis impact on the site's wildlife; and, adopt a resolution <br />finding that the City's acquisition of the property located at 157 Main Street for the purpose of civic <br />center uses is consistent with the City's General Plan. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan, seconded by Commissioner Maas, that a <br />resolution be adopted recommending approval of the attached draft Negative Declaration; <br />finding that the project has a de minimis impact on the site's wildlife; and, that a resolution be <br />adopted finding that the City's acquisition of the property located at 157 Main Street for the <br />purpose of civic center uses is consistent with the City's General Plan. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Page 10 July 14, 1999 <br /> <br /> <br />
