A motion was made by Commissioner Kameny, seconded by Commissioner Cooper, to approve <br />Case PUD-81-30-79D subject to the conditions of approval listed in Exhibit "B" and the <br />modifications in staff's memorandum dated April 9, 1999. <br /> <br />ROLLCALLVOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Cooper and Kameny <br />Commissioner Sullivan <br />Chairperson Kumaran and Commissioners Maas and Roberts <br />None <br /> <br />The motion carried on a 2 - 1 vote. <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-99-32 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br /> <br />Determination that the City's acquisition of a 3.1 acre parcel located at the northwest corner <br />of Bernal Avenue and Old Bernal Avenue for civic center uses is in conformance with the <br /> <br />City's General Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson referenced the staff report dated April 14, 1999, and highlighted key areas contained in the <br />report including background information and project description. In conclusion, he stated that staffs <br />recommendation is that the Commission adopt a resolution recommending approval of the attached <br />Negative Declaration; find that the project has a de minimis impact on the site's wildlife; and, adopt a <br />resolution finding that the City's acquisition of 3.1 acres of property for the purpose of civic center uses <br />is consistent with the City's General Plan. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to noise impacts from adjacent railroad tracks, buffer being utilized to <br />minimize noise, and possible uses for property. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan, seconded by Commissioner Kameny, to adopt a <br />resolution recommending approval of the attached Negative Declaration and finding that the <br />project has a de minimis impact on the site's wildlife. <br /> <br />ROLLCALLVOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Cooper, Kameny and Sullivan <br />None <br />Chairperson Kumaran and Commissioners Maas and Roberts <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-99-33 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan, seconded by Commissioner Kameny, to adopt a <br />resolution finding that the City's acquisition of 3.1 acres of property for the purpose of civic center <br />uses is consistent with the City's General Plan. <br /> <br />PLANN1NG COMMISSION MINUTES Page 10 April 14, 1999 <br /> <br /> <br />
