THE CITY OF <br /> <br />pL£ASANTON. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> <br />Wednesday, January 13, 1999 <br /> 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The Planning Commission meeting of January 13, 1999, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson <br />Kumaran. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: <br /> <br />Jerry Iserson, Principal Planner; Roger Higdon, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works; Larissa Seto, Assistant City Attorney; and Deanne <br />Helgesen, Recording Secretary. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Kumaran, and Commissioners Geoff Cooper, Harvey <br />Kameny, Trish Maas, and Mary Roberts <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: Commissioner Matt Sullivan <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Commissioner Cooper requested that Page 13, Actions of the City Council, be amended to read, "Even <br />though the Mayor had not been happy with the 40-additional units approved on Foothill Road, the <br />number of fatal traffic accidents there show the serious need for improvement of Foothill Road, and that <br />adding the additional units has brought about increased safety on Foothill Road." <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Roberts requested that Page 7, paragraph 2, be amended to read," She stated that this <br />size house could possibly be built on the property if designed to reduce the massiveness of the residence <br />facing onto Stanley Boulevard." <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that on Page 10, Roll Call Vote, she did not intend to vote in favor of <br />doing a specific plan for the Rose Avenue area when she voted for denial of the PUD.
