PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />Commi~ioner Kameny advised that his only concern is with the construction hours and he <br />would support Saturday construction hours conditioned similar to that of the Hines development, <br />which is adjacent to the Stoneridge Apamnents. He noted that he would support staff's <br />recommendation regarding the LEED standards and the electric vehicle chargers. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas made a motion to approve Case PUC-81-30-83D, subject to the Draft <br />Conditions of Appwval shown in Exhibit "B' of the staff report. She noted that she supports <br />staff's recommended conditions requiring the LEED rating for tenant improvements in <br />perpetuity and the covered smoking area, and allowing Saturday construction with the provision <br />that no heavy equipment would be operated on Saturday. Commissioner Arkin seconded the <br />motion. <br /> <br />Chairperson Sullivan noted that he is concerned that employees and tenants may not know how <br />to obtain electric vehicle chargers at the site. Discussion ensued regarding signage noting the <br />availability of charging stations. Commissioner Maas modified the motion to include that <br />signage shall be required stating that electrical vehicle chargers are available upon request. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin requested clarification regarding the proposed traffic impacts. Mr. Pavan <br />advised that the total floor area proposed for the site has always been incorporated in the traffic <br />models. <br /> <br />Chairperson Sullivan commented that a Planning staffperson attended a training session <br />yesterday regarding Green Building. He further noted that funds are available to implement <br />these measures. He suggested that the applicant utilize the resources available in the City and <br />advised that James Pay, son has also had some training in this area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas made a motion to approve Case PUD-81-30-83D subject to the draft <br />conditions of approval as shown in Exhibit "B' of the staff report, with modifications <br />requirJmg that the smoking area be covered; construction shah be allowed on Saturday, <br />from 8.'00 a.m. until $:00 p.m., but use of heavy equipment shah be prohibited on <br />Saturday; and si~nage shah be installed at the designated electric vehicle charging parking <br />stalls indicating that electric chargers wit be provided upon request.
