MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Kameny noted that on Monday and Tuesday he was unable to get through <br />the intersection from Main Street to Neal because of the line of ears waiting to turn into <br />the dairy which was backed up to Main Street. Mr. Swift noted that the Traffic <br />Committee is reviewing this problem and consideration is being given to creating a left <br />turn pocket at the entrance to the dairy. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin questioned if enything can be done to require that buyers receive <br />~omething in writing about potential uses of surrounding properties. Discussion ensued <br />regarding how this matter can be addressed. It was suggested that this item be returned to <br />a future meeting with some examples for the Commission's review. <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts advised that as liaison to the Housing Commission she received a <br />list of apmlment rentals and the rental rates. She distributed copies to the other <br />commissioners. <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that the building at the comer of Bernai and California has <br />sheet metal awnings and pillars that look like/in cans. Mr. Pavan advised that the <br />proposal included corrugated metal columns and awnings and the building was built as <br />approved.
