Mr. Swift noted that the Planning Commission will make a formal recommendation on August 9, <br />2000 relating to the G-reenbriar project in order to meet the schedule that the City of San <br />Francisco has included in the bid proposal. Further, that this will allow time for two City <br />Council meetings prior to a second reading of the ordinance on August 28, 2000. He noted that <br />formal public meetings will be held every week in the month of August 2000 with a special <br />meeting lining held August 2, 2000 that will include the staff report concerning the PUD and the <br />specific plan for the Greenbriar proposal. Mr. Swift noted that the subject matter presented at <br />this evening's meeting will be presented again a~ the August 2, 2000 special meeting. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry by Vice Chairperson Sullivan, Mr. Costanzo noted that Greenbriar will <br />be presenting, in addition to the Green Building practices, the site plans included in the formal <br />PUD application as requested by the City Council, as well as a review of the landscaping plans <br />for the individual communities and commercial properties. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Arldn, Ms. Sero noted that the Brown Act provides <br />that if all four members of the Commission present tonight vote in favor of adding this item, it <br />can be added to the agenda. Commissioner Arkin noted he would vote in favor of adding this <br />item to the agenda and stated there will be many future meetings for public review. He noted the <br />importance of the Conunission being provided updates on the Greenbriar project to ensure an <br />understanding by the Commission of the project and to allow the Commission to provide <br />feedback for the best possible project for the City. <br /> <br />Commissioner Malmrose moved to amend the agenda to include the Greenbriar presentation. <br />Commissioner Kameny seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan empathized with the public and he suggested that when information is <br />delivered to the Commissioners' houses that a cover letter be included by staff. <br /> <br />Ms. Sero noted that members of the public can receive copies of documents for the City Council <br />meetings at the public library and the City Clerk's office free of charge or for a small fee. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted the importance of information being presented for the <br />Commissions' review and noted that the information presented tonight will be presented again at <br />a future meeting. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Maimrose, seconded by Commissioner Kameny, to <br />amend the agenda to include the Greenbriar presentation. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Kameny, Malmrose and Vice Chairperson Sullivan <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Maas and Chairperson Roberts <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />The motion carried. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES July 26, 2000 Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
