Commissioner Sullivan noted he cannot make the findings to support Commissioner Maas' <br />motion. Commissioner Sullivan made a substitute motion to deny the Tentative Map due to not <br />being able to make the findings. Commissioner Arkin seconded the substitute motion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin noted that Commissioner Sullivan has raised some interesting ideas about <br />whether the project meets the goals of the General Plan. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan, seconded by Commissioner Arkin, to deny <br />Tentative Tract Map 7176, Mardefl, LLC. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Arkin and Sullivan <br />Commi.sioners Malmrose and Maas, and Chairperson Roberts <br />Commi*sioner Kameny <br />None <br /> <br />The motion failed. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts seconded Commissioner Mans' motion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas noted that items in the General Plan need to be discussed as specific issues <br />pertaining to a development and applied to the City as a whole. Further, she advised the <br />Commission that the developer had incorporated the Commissioners' request into the project, <br />including Commissioner Sullivan's concerns. She noted this project will be an aesthetically <br />pleasing project. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts noted that the developers have met the requirements for the tentative map. <br />She commented favorably on the home design and commended the developer on the plans. She <br />noted that Commissioner Sullivan has some good points; however, all of the requirements in the <br />General Plan cannot be met ail the time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted that additional million dollar homes are not needed on th~ westside <br />of Foothill Road. Further, he stated there should be no more homing on the westside o[Foothill <br />Road. Commissioner Sullivan stated that the General Plan requirements were not adeqgately <br />discussed at the PUD stage by either the Commission or the City Council. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Maas, seconded by Chairperson Roberts, <br />the tentative map findings as listed in the staff report and adopt a resolution app~ <br />vesting tentative map application subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit "B.'
