A motion was made by Chairperson Roberts, seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, to <br />approve the CIP as presented with the following recommendations: <br /> · Replace two of the traffic lanes along Owens Drive with on-street parking to <br /> provide alternatives for BART parking. <br /> · Provide bike lanes throughout the Hacienda Business Park. <br /> · Open the gates on the gravel roads that run along the Arroyo from BART to <br /> West Las Positas to allow for bike and pedestrian access. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Arkin, Maas, Sullivan and Chairperson Roberts <br />None <br />Commissioner Kameny <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-2000-21 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEM~I~RS <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry fxom Commissioner Sullivan, Mr. Plucker reported that a work <br />session with the Green Building Council is scheduled for an April meeting (probably <br />April 26) at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts reported that she attended her first Housing Commission meeting as <br />the Planning Commission liaison. She advised that a presenter at the meeting advised <br />that plans for a senior residence project for the site located at the comer at Stoneridge <br />Drive and Foothill Road that conforms with the approved PUD for this site are in the <br />process of being prepared. It was noted at the Housing Commission meeting that <br />neighbors may object to the proposed four-story building. <br /> <br />Chairperson Roberts referred to a Wall Street Journal article that discusses the <br />construction of large homes at the turn of the Century and that many of those homes have <br />since been renovated to provide for multi-family residences. The article discusses <br />whether this may occur with the very large homes that are being constructed today. <br /> <br />8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br /> <br />9.
