Chapter 18.106 (Second Units) <br /> <br />Chapter 18.106 <br /> <br />SECOND UNITS <br /> <br />Sections: <br /> 18.106.010 <br /> 18.106.020 <br /> 18.106.030 <br /> <br />18.106.040 <br /> <br />18.106.050 <br /> <br />18.106.060 <br /> <br />Purpose. <br />Conditional use permit requirements. <br />Attached second units--Height limitations, setbacks, open space, <br />and other regulations. <br />Detached second units in one-family residential <br />districts--Permitted districts, height limitations, setbacks, and <br />other regulations. <br />Detached second units in multi-family residential <br />districts--Height limitations, setbacks, open space, and other <br />regulations. <br />Required conditions. <br /> <br />18.106.010 Purpose. <br /> <br /> Second units are a valuable form of housing in the City. These units meet the <br />City's General Plan housing policies related to: attaining a variety of housing types; <br />providing housing stock available to lower-income households; including lower-income <br />housing units within market-rate housing projects; providing alternative, non-traditional <br />means suited to the community to fill lower and moderate income housing needs; and <br />meeting the City's share of regional housing needs. <br /> <br /> The further purpose of this chapter is to provide flexibility to meet the above stated <br />objectives, while taking into account the unusual characteristics and special <br />considerations surrounding second units. <br /> <br />Exhibit A.2/RZ-98-03 <br /> Page I <br /> <br /> <br />
