APPENDIX D <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT <br /> Section 5. Special Compensation <br /> Standby Pay <br /> Deputy Chiefs assigned to a standby schedule shall be compensated in the amount equal to <br /> two percent (2 %) of the Deputy Chief control point listed in Appendix A. Division Chief's <br /> assigned to a standby schedule shall be compensated in an amount equal to seven and one - <br /> half percent (7.5 %) of the Division Chief control point listed in Appendix A. Standby pay shall <br /> be paid biweekly. <br /> Acting Pay <br /> A management employee assigned to perform the duties of a higher position classification as <br /> determined by the Fire Chief or City Manager for at least thirty (30) days will receive at least <br /> five percent (5 %) acting pay retroactively for all days so served. <br /> Section 6. Health and Welfare <br /> Waiver of Health and Dental Coverage <br /> Former Livermore fire management employees who elected to receive a contribution to <br /> deferred compensation in lieu of city health and /or dental coverage will continue to receive <br /> this benefit until the benefit is either replaced or eliminated in an effort to equalize benefits <br /> among management employees. No additional employees may elect this benefit after <br /> October 31, 1998. Fire management employees while receiving this benefit will be ineligible <br /> for floating holidays. <br /> Section 7. Leaves <br /> Holiday <br /> In addition to the holidays listed in Section 7.1(1) fire managers assigned a forty (40) hour <br /> Monday through Friday work schedule will observe New Year's Eve as a paid holiday. <br /> Page 27 of 30 <br />
