Section 9. Uniforms <br /> The City shall provide fifty percent (50 %) of the initial purchase price of uniforms of <br /> those management employees required to wear a uniform. For the classification of <br /> Police Lieutenant, Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Division Chief, Fire Marshal, Assistant <br /> Fire Marshal, Administrative Manager, CAD Records Manager, and EMS Disaster <br /> Manager the City shall provide an annual uniform allowance of $650.00. In the event <br /> the uniform allowance paid non - management employees increases, the City Manager <br /> will also increase the managers' allowance. For the classification of Police Captain, <br /> the City shall reimburse the employee for all necessary uniform equipment as required <br /> by the Police Chief and approved by the City Manager. <br /> Section 10. Credit Union <br /> The City shall provide a voluntary payroll deduction option for those employees who <br /> wish to join the First United Services Credit Union for the purpose of transacting <br /> business with such First United Services Credit Union. <br /> Section 11. Deferred Compensation <br /> The City shall provide a voluntary 457 deferred compensation plan and a voluntary <br /> IRS 401A plan. <br /> Section 12. Tuition & Book Reimbursement <br /> Upon approval of the City Manager, management and confidential employees shall be <br /> reimbursed tuition expenses for job related courses successfully completed from <br /> accredited colleges or universities. <br /> The maximum amount of tuition reimbursement per year shall equal the total tuition <br /> levied by Hayward State University for the academic year beginning in the Fall of each <br /> year. <br /> Management and Confidential employees can be reimbursed for books required for <br /> college /university courses approved by the City Manager and successfully completed <br /> with a grade of "C" or better. Upon reimbursement, the books shall become the <br /> property of the City. The maximum reimbursement for books an employee may <br /> Page 16 of 30 <br />
