3 <br /> <br />LAND USE ELEMENT <br /> <br />COM~a~'~SFv'~ LAND US~ OaJ'~CTIW <br /> <br />TO C~TE A CONCE~ON OF PUBIC US~ ON THE S~E OF HIGH VALUE TO THE <br />P~S~TON CO~U~ ~ ACCOMMODA~NG HIGH QUA~Y, SPEC~L <br />NEIGHBO~OODS FOR P~E OF V~D ~NS TO ~VE ~D WO~. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Land Use Policy 1: Community Facilities. <br />Aggregate an array of high value, high quality community facilities <br />on the site which serve the entire Pleasanton community while <br />respectin__g both the natural and developed lands' sensitivities to the <br />use of the community facilities. <br /> <br />GUIDELINES: <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />Undertake a comprehensive public participation process to identify and <br />locate community facilities to be developed within the Phase II area of <br />the site. <br /> <br />In determining community facilities, the City should be guided by <br />the Public Facilities Elem~ of the General Plan, the Facilities <br />Master Plan, and the recommendations of the San Francisco <br />Bernal Property Task Force. <br /> <br />Land uses and activities to be included in the community facilities <br />land use plan shall .be for the community to decide, and the Phase <br />H land use plan shall be subject to approval by the electorate <br />before implementation. <br /> <br />1.2 <br /> <br />Create in the Phase II plan a focal point and town gathering place <br />reflecting the heritage of the Valley and the cultural richness of the <br />community. <br /> <br />3-! <br /> <br /> <br />
