If red-tailed hawk nesting is occurring during the time grading activity will occur, improvements in the vicinity of the nest should be coordinated with representatives of the California Department offish and Game to minimize disturbance and possible loss of the active nest during the nesting time. These conditions call for establishment of a buffer area around the nesting site within which certain disruptive activities (grading, construction, regional trails, irrigated areas of the golf course) are restricted.
