PLANNING COlvlMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-39 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMN~NDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE APPLICATION THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR A GENERAL PLAN <br />AMENDMENT, REZONING, CONDITONAL USE PERMIT, AND DESIGN REVIEW, <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE PGPA-01/PDR-46/PRZ-02/PCUP-12 <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan amendment to change the <br />designation of a 13.5 acre parcel (APN 941-1302-002-24) from Public and <br />Institutional to Parks and Recreation; rezoning of two parcels totaling 24.2 acres <br />(APNs: 941-1302-005-02 and 941-1302-002-24) from the Agricultural zoning <br />district to the Public and Institutional zoning district; issuance of a conditional use <br />permit for a 24-acre park; and design review of the proposed Val Vista Park <br />expansion located at 6701 Payne Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Agricultural District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 28, 2000, the Planning Commission received a proposed <br /> negative declaration prepared for Case PGPA-01/PDR-46/PRZ-02/PCUP-12; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of <br /> the proposal; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that approval of the proposed project would not <br /> have any significant adverse effects on the environment; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission further finds that the proposed General Plan amendment, <br />rezoning, conditional use permit, and design review will have no potent/al for <br />adverse impacts on the site's wildlife. <br /> <br /> <br />
