PLANNING COlvlMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-39 RESOLUTION RECOMN~NDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, REZONING, CONDITONAL USE PERMIT, AND DESIGN REVIEW, AS FILED UNDER CASE PGPA-01/PDR-46/PRZ-02/PCUP-12 the City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan amendment to change the designation of a 13.5 acre parcel (APN 941-1302-002-24) from Public and Institutional to Parks and Recreation; rezoning of two parcels totaling 24.2 acres (APNs: 941-1302-005-02 and 941-1302-002-24) from the Agricultural zoning district to the Public and Institutional zoning district; issuance of a conditional use permit for a 24-acre park; and design review of the proposed Val Vista Park expansion located at 6701 Payne Road; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Agricultural District; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 28, 2000, the Planning Commission received a proposed negative declaration prepared for Case PGPA-01/PDR-46/PRZ-02/PCUP-12; and WHEREAS, the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; and the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that approval of the proposed project would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment; and the Planning Commission further finds that the proposed General Plan amendment, rezoning, conditional use permit, and design review will have no potent/al for adverse impacts on the site's wildlife.
