CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 01-063 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />~AS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT AN OFFICE <br />BUILDING IS AN APROPRIATE LAND USE FOR <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5075 HOPYARD ROAD <br /> <br />Chamberlin Associates applied for design review approval to construct a 44,250 <br />sq. 1~., two-story office at 5075 Hopyard Road; and <br /> <br />an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was prepared in conjunction with PUD <br />approval for Hacienda Business Park and the proposed project is within the scope <br />of the EIR: therefore, no environmental document was prepared for this <br />application; and <br /> <br />zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O (Industrial, <br />Commercial and Office); and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission denied the application and recommended that a study be <br />conducted to determine whether an office use was still an appropriate land use for <br />this site; and <br /> <br />with the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the applicant filed an <br />appeal of the Planning Commission's decision; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City Council on April 3, 2001 on <br />the appeal and the Planning Commission's recoraraendation; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 3, 2001, the City Council determined that an office use was <br />appropriate for the site; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 17, 2001, the City Council voted to reconsider its prior <br />determination regarding the land use for the subject property; and <br /> <br />following the City Council's decision to reconsider the matter, the Housing <br />Commission discussed the potential of housing use at the site; the Commission <br />made no recommendation that the City Council designate this site for housing; and <br /> <br /> <br />
