The City/School District Liaison Committee (a standing committee with representatives <br />bom the City Council and Board of Trustees) shall work to prioritize goals and <br />objectives each year and monitor progress of the Youth Master Plan. <br /> <br />Both City of Pleasanton and PUSD staff shall assist the Youth Master Plan <br />Implementation Group. <br /> <br />Th~ Implementation Group shall include a representative from the faith community; non- <br />profit organizations; PUSD Strategic Plan Committee; busineSs community; Youth <br />Commission; Library Commission; Human Services Commission; Parks and Recreation <br />Commission; Civic Arts Commission; Youth Master Plan Steering Committee; a parent; <br />and PUSD student. <br /> <br />The Implementation Group shall provide input to the City/School District Liaison <br />Committee. Working with staff, the Implementation Group will prioritize strategies and <br />identify potential community partners for the implementation of the goals/objectives. <br />The group shall also serve as a conduit for community input regarding the Youth Master <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Community ad hoc groups shall be formed, as necessary, to implement specific <br />objectives. Possible partners/collaborators could include Child Care Links; the Chamber <br />of Commerce; care providers; Las Positas College; the YMCA; Adult Education; Youth <br />Sports organizations; Valley Care Health System; and other related agencies. <br /> <br />The implementation directives (p. 51 of the Plan) also include a recommendation that the <br />Implementation Group address a minimum of one (1) goal and objective from each theme <br />annually. The directives also point out that the Youth Master Plan is intended to be a flexible, <br />living document that should be open to new data, circumstances, input and modification. The <br />implamentation plan also provides the flexibility to entertain new goals and objectives, modify <br />or delete existing proposals, and forge ahead quickly with those that present immediate <br />opportunities for action. <br /> <br />Recommendation by the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Unified School District Liaison <br />Committee <br /> <br />The City/School District Liaison Committee reviewed, discussed and voted to recommend <br />adoption of the Youth Master Plan of Pleasanton at its meeting of May 2, 2001.
