THE CITY OF <br /> <br />pL£AS&NTONo <br /> <br />6D <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br /> June 5, 2001 <br />Parks and Community Services <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF YOUTH MASTER PLAN OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />COMMI$SION RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br />The Economic Vitality Committee, and Civic Arts, Human Services, Youth, <br />Parks and Recreation, and Library commissions recommend that the City <br />Council adopt the Youth Master Plan of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON AND PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />LIAISON COMMITTEE: <br /> <br />The Liaison Committee recommends adoption of the Plan with the <br />following amendments: <br /> <br />· Timely progress reports should be developed and presented during all <br /> phases of implementation of the Plan. <br />· Valley Care Health System should be listed and included as a possible <br /> partner whenever possible for implementing relevant goals and <br /> objectives. <br />· The goals and objectives of the Youth Master Plan should not be <br /> perceived as mandated by the Plan, but viewed as an expression of <br /> desired outcomes. <br />· There is recognition that not all goals and objectives may be achievable. <br /> <br />The Pieasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees voted <br />unanimously to adopt the Youth Master Plan of Pleasanton at its me~ting of <br />May 8, 2001. <br /> <br />SR 01:124 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
