Exhibit B <br /> ANNUAL VACATION SIGN -UP <br /> 1. Annual vacation sign -up will be based on seniority and will be <br /> implemented commencing the first pay period after January 1, 1999. <br /> Seniority will be defined by the criteria set out in the City's Seniority Sign - <br /> Up Program, under the section titled "Seniority". <br /> 2. All annual vacations will be scheduled for no less than four consecutive <br /> workdays. <br /> 3. Personnel who signed up and have been approved for annual vacation will <br /> be required to take that time off. Changes will not be considered once <br /> annual vacations have been selected unless extenuating circumstances <br /> exist, justifying such changes, and meets with the Division Commander's <br /> approval. <br /> 4. Sign -ups will occur as outlined in the Seniority Shift Sign -Up Program, <br /> under the section titled "Process ". <br /> Number of Personnel Allowed Off <br /> 1. The Chief of Police reserves the right to change vacation availability <br /> due to injuries, and /or emergencies which may arise. <br /> 2. After the Special Operations Unit (SOU) Commander's annual vacation <br /> has been approved, SOU sergeant(s) may select annual vacation. No <br /> more than one lieutenant or sergeant, assigned to SOU, will be <br /> granted vacation during the same time period. <br /> 3. Only one Traffic Officer will be allowed to schedule annual vacation <br /> during any given time. <br /> 4. No more than one sergeant assigned to the Investigation /Services <br /> Division will be allowed annual vacation during the same time period. <br /> 5. No more than two officers assigned to the Investigation /Services <br /> Division will be allowed annual vacation during the same time period. <br /> 6. After the patrol lieutenant's annual vacation has been approved, patrol <br /> sergeants may bid for annual vacation. No more than two patrol <br /> lieutenants avid /or sergeants will be granted annual vacation during the <br /> same time period. <br /> 7. Two patrol officers from each watch may schedule annual vacation at <br /> any time with the following two exceptions: <br /> HRIPOA - Annual Vacation Sign -Up <br />
