CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-140 <br /> <br />RE: INTERIM EXPANSION OF PLEASANTON SEWAGE TREATMENT <br />PLANT IRRIGATION CAPACITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Director of Public Works has <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br /> submitted a report <br /> dated July 9, 1971 in which it is recommended that <br /> the City Staff be authorized to proceed to acquire <br /> all necessary permits and~ leases regarding an expansion <br /> of the City's irrigation fields adjacent to its Sewage <br /> Treatment Plant and that the Staff be authorized to <br /> spend up to $25,000.00 for land use acquisition, pump <br /> facilities, pipes and sprinklers necessary to implement <br /> said expanded irrigation facilities; and <br /> <br /> It appears that such an expansion will allow the City <br /> considerably greater flexibility in implementing its <br /> change-over from its sewage treatment plant to that <br /> of V.C.S.D. while at the same time not discouraging <br /> industrial and commercial prospects from coming to <br /> the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> It is further recommended by the Assistant City <br /> Manager that the City be authorized to accept advances <br /> of money from various home-builders operating within the <br /> City of Pleasanton of up to $25,000.00 and to prepare <br /> for execution by the City Council an agreement providing <br /> for the terms and conditions pursuant to which repayment <br /> of such advances are to be effected <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the report of.the Director of Public Works dated <br /> July 9, 1971 be accepted and approved. <br /> <br /> <br />
