~HEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />iWHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CO~fTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-225 <br /> <br />RE: VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT'S <br />IMMEDIATE, INTERMEDIATE, AND LONG-RANGE <br />SOLUTIONS TO THEIR SEWAGE DISPOSAL PROBLEM. <br /> <br />the Valley Community Services District has received <br />and considered suggestions from their consultant <br />regarding proposed immediate and intermediate solutions <br />to the sewage disposal crisis in the west end of the <br />Amador-Livermore Valley; and <br />certain of these suggestions have been transmitted to <br />the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br />and the recent cease and desist order based its <br />timetable upon these suggested modifications to the <br />Plant; and <br />the Valley Cormmunity Services District has reviewed and <br />considered additional suggestions relating to the inter- <br />mediate solutions to the sewage disposal problems <br />such as the re-opening of the Camp Parks ponds, the <br />reduction of discharge requirements, and the increase <br />of the present expansion program to five (5) m.g.d. <br />rather than the current four (4) m.g.d.; and <br />the Valley Co~zaunity Services District is currently <br />in the process of reviewing plans for the next <br />expansion of the Plant to eight (8) m.g.d. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS; <br /> <br /> 1. That the City of Pleasanton supports the efforts of <br /> the Valley Community Services District to resolve <br /> the immediate, intermediate, and long-range problems <br /> associated with the current sewage crisis. <br /> <br /> <br />
