CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 71-188 <br /> <br />RE: APPROVAL OF THREE AGREEMENTS RELATING TO <br />THE PROVISION WITHIN THE LIVERMORE AMADOR <br />VALLEY OF EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICES <br /> <br />It is proposed that the County of Alameda and <br />the Cities of Livermore and Pleasanton enter into <br />a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement designating <br /> <br />Alameda County as the administering agency for <br /> <br />purposes of entering into an agreement with <br />Allen's Ambulance Service for the provision <br /> <br />within the Livermore Amador Valley of emergency <br /> <br />ambulance services, said agreement to be supple- <br />mented by an agreement between Alameda County and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Valley Memorial Hospital whereby the latter <br />would provide advisory technical advice regarding <br />the quality of service rendered by Allen's Ambu- <br />lance; and <br />the City is in receipt of three such agreements each <br />of which has been reviewed at considerable length by <br />the staffs of the County of Alameda and the Cities <br /> <br />of Livermore and Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleas anton is obligated under the <br />agreements for the first year to contribute $700.00 <br />a month as its share toward funding provision of <br />emergency ambulance service and to pay its share <br />of uncollectable emergency ambulance calls and of <br />"dry run" emergency calls. <br /> <br />.NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement <br /> <br />between the Cities of Pleasanton and Livermore <br />and the County of Alameda providing for a <br />joint provision by and through the County of <br /> <br /> <br />
