CITY OF PLEASAN~ON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 73-39 RE: ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 73-1. BEIT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton as follows: By Resolution No. 73-16, a publid hearing was called for Tuesday, Februar~ 20, 1973, and continued to Monday, March 19, 1973, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Justice Court Building, 30 West Angela Street, tO ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety or welfare requires the rePm3val of poles, overhead wires and associated overhee~ structures and the underground installation of wireS and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service on the north and south sides of Neal Street, between the eastern side of Main Street and the western side of First Street, a distance of 600 feet more or less; and Notice of such hearing has been giVen to all affected property owners as shoWn on the last equalized assesls- ment roll and utilities concerned in the manner and for the time ~required by law; and WHEREAS Such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all persons interested have been ~iven an opportunity to be heard· ~eRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City CoUncil of the City of Pleasanton hereby finds and determines that the .~ublic necessity, heal~h~ safety and welfare require the removal of peles, overhead wires and sasociated structures, and the underground installation ef wires and facilities for supplying electric~ cozenunicatien, or similar Or associated service on the north and south sides of Noel Street, between the eastern side of Main Street and the western side of First Street, a distance of 608 feet more or less, suc~ described area is hereby established as Underground Utility District No. 73~1. Attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A~,' and hereby incorp- orated as part of this resolution,' is a map delineating the boundaries of said District. FURTHER, that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton hereby makes the following further findings with regard to Underground Utility District No, 73~1. The undergrounding to be accomplished pursuant to this resolution will avoid or eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities. The streets, roads and rights-of-way in the District are extensively used by the general public and carry a heav~ volume of pedestrian and ~ehicular traffic·
