CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 73~91 <br />APPROVING CO-SPONSORSHIP BY CITY OF PLEASANTON OF THE <br />PLEASANTON MODEL ROCKET CLUB <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Model Rocket Club is desirous of using <br /> City facilities for the purpose of launching mo~el <br /> rookets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission at its meeting of <br /> April 25, i973, by Resolution No. 73'18, recommended co- <br /> sponsoring by the City of the activities of the Pleasanton <br /> Model Rocket Club with three conditions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of May 21, 1973, con- <br /> sidered the application for co-sponsorShip by said Model <br /> Rocket Club; <br /> <br />NOW, T~EKEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Pleasanton Model Rocket Club application for <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />co-sponsorship by the City of Pleasanton is hereby <br />granted subject to the conditions contained in <br />Resolution #73-18,adopted by the Park and Recrea- <br />tion Commission at its meeting April 25, 1973, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference. <br /> <br />The City's co-sponsorship is also conditioned ~pon <br />the Pleasanton Model Rocket Club entering into an <br />agreement which will hold the City of Pleasanton !x~;=~ <br />harmless for any injuries or death resulting from <br />the activities of the Rocket Club for the period <br />set forth in Park and Recreation Commission Resolu- <br />tion No. 73-18. <br /> <br />This resolution becomes effective inunediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />Dated: May 21, 1973 <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
