MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT THIS MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT is made and entered into this ~"~?~1~ day of June, 1973, by and between the Joint Governmental Negotiation Agency, Council of the City "Agency") and Local Fire Fighters acting as Employer Representative of the 'City of Pleasanuon (hereinafter referred to as No. 1974 of the international Association of (he~einafter referred to as "Union"). WITNESSETH WHEREAS, Local 1974 of the International Association of Fire Fighters is a recognized employee organization representing certain firemen employed by the Cityof Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by a. Joint' powers agreement dated March 12, 1973, has authorized Agency to negotiate with'Union on behalf of the City of Pleasanton (heretnafter Ireferred to as "City!'); and WHEREAS, Agency and Union have heretofore instructed their speetive representatives to meet and confer consistent with the re- provisions of ~3500, et seq, of the GOvernment Code in order to promote full communication and, to the extent possible, understanding and agreement between agency and union reg,rding wages, hours and other terms and c6nditions of employment for Firemen; and \ WHEREAS, it is the intention ofthe parties hereto that this Memorandum of Agreemenu supplement Resolution No. 2~-~Wwhich establishes.salaries for classified and unclaSsified.employees of the City of Pleasanton for the year 1973-74 and the City of Pleasan- ~on Personnel Rules and Regulations; and WHEREAS, it is further the parties intention that this Memorandum of Agreement; in the event of any conflict between such and the afore- said Resolution and Personnel Rules and Regulations, shall prevail. NOW, THEFZFORE, IT IS MUTUPLLY HERETO AS FOLLOWS: AGP£ED BETWEEN THE PARTIES .
