Section 6. <br /> <br />At.Lsuch time as an employee is promoted to a <br />position requiring a higher educational level <br />than the employee possesses at the time of <br />his promotion, the incentive pay-he received <br />while at the loner position shall terminate. <br /> <br />Any employee receiving an unsatisfactory Job <br />performance evaluation Shall forfeit his <br />educational incentive pay until such time as <br />his performance is deemed to be satisfactory <br />Or shove, <br /> <br />Employees receiving educational incentive <br />pay mu~t .complete an additional six semester <br />units or their quarter hour equivalents every <br />three years ,border to maintain educational <br />incentive pay. <br /> <br />New employees having attained one of the <br />levels of educational achievement specified <br />in Section IV and meeting all other req~ire~ <br />ments of this policy shall be eligible for <br />educational incentive pa~ after completion <br />of three years ef successful employment with <br />the City. <br /> <br />Sectionl912 (Exempt Services)of Chapter XIX <br />(General Rules) is hereby amended to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />The provisions of the Personnel Ordinance and rules <br />shall apply to all Offices, positions and emplOyeeS <br />in the s~r~lce of the Cit~wi~htke fOllOWing ex~ <br />ceptions referredto as the exempt services: <br /> <br />A. Assistant CityManager/Director of Public Works <br /> F. Assistant to the City Manager <br />G. Police Chief <br />H. Fire Chief <br />I. Director of Engineering Services <br />J. Director ~of Field Services <br />K. Recreation Superintendent <br />L. Director of COmmunity ~evelopment <br />M. Persons engaged unlde~cont~act~to mupply expert <br /> professional, technical orotker services, <br /> Volunteer Personnel such as volunteer firemen <br /> or the Police Reserve. <br /> 0. Emergenc~ employees whoare b/red to meet the <br /> immediate requirements of an emergency condition <br /> such as eXtraordinaP~ flre, flood or earth_quake <br /> which threatens lIf~ ~or property. <br />P. Employees who are not fullStime employeeS, <br />Q.
