The seven (7) days of administrative leave will be credited to each management <br />employee dudng the fimt pay pedod in January 2001 and during the first pay pedod in <br />January of each succeeding year?) <br /> <br />Managers may choose to be paid for one-half of their unused administrative leave on <br />the firat pay day in May and for all of their unused administrative leave on the first pay <br />day in November. All managers with unused administrative leave as of December <br />31st will be paid for said leave dudng the first pay period in January of the succeeding <br />year. <br /> <br />Management employees hired during the year proceeding January 1st shall on January <br />1st receive a prorated administrative leave for each full month of employment. <br /> <br />7,7 Leaves of Absence <br /> <br />7.7(1) Leaves of Absence Without Pay <br /> <br /> The City Manager may grant a management or confidential employee leave of <br /> absence without pay or seniority not to exceed three (3) months. No such leave shall <br /> be granted except in writing and upon written request of the employee setting forth the <br /> reason therefor, Upon expiration of a regularly approved leave, the employee shall be <br /> reinstated in the position held at the time leave was granted. Failure on the part of an <br /> employee on leave to report promptly at its expiration or within a reasonable time after <br /> notice to return to duty shall be cause for discipline up to and including termination. <br /> Department directors may grant full-time middle management and confidential <br /> employees leave of absence without pay for not to exceed one (1) calendar week. <br /> Such leaves shall be reported to the Deputy City Manager/Director of Human <br /> Resources. <br /> <br />7.7(2) Jury Leave <br /> <br /> Management and confidential employees called or required to serve as a juror shall be <br /> entitled to leave from his/her duties with the City dudng the period of such service or <br /> while necessadly being present in court as a result of such call. <br /> Page 13 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
