CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-139 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PLACING ON THE <br />MARCH 7, 2000 REGULAR ELECTION A CITY COUNCIL <br />SPONSORED MEASURE CONCERNING THE <br />ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY AND THE FINANCING <br />THEREOF THROUGH THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION BONDS, DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS OF THE <br />INITIATIVE, AUTHORIZING ARGUMENTS CONCERNING <br />THE MEASURE, ALLOWING REBUTTAL ARGUMENTS <br />REGARDING THE MEASURE, AND REQUESTING <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY TO CONDUCT THIS ELECTION IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH THE MARCH 7, 2000 REGULAR <br />ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this City Council has passed Ordinance No. 1801, enti~ed "An Ordinance <br /> Ordering the Submission of a Proposition of Incurring Bonded Debt for the <br /> Purpose of the Acquisition of Certain Mm~cipal Improvements to the Qualified <br /> Voters of the City of Pleasanton at a Special Municipal Election to be held for that <br /> purpose (San Francisco Bernal Avenue Property Project) (the "Ordinance"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />tt~s City Council desires that the Election provided for in the ordinance be <br />consolidated with any other election to occur on March 7, 2000 in the territory of <br />the City and that said proposition be included on the ballot for said election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 9280 of the California Elections Code authorizes the filing of an impartial <br />analysis and Sections 9281-9285 of said Code authorize the filing of written <br />arguments for or against any ballot proposition, and, if adopted by the City <br />Council, rebutlal arguments. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
