4.0

Project No. 5541
I June 1993

Limitations

Because grading and construction in the (]HAD have not yet been completed, this Plan
of Contrnl provides only a basic blueprint for the prevention, mitigation, abatement of
cantrol of potential geologic hazards. The soil and geologic conditions could
conceivably bc different than those observed in the borings, trenches and pits previously
used ta investigate the site. Any grading in the hillside areas of the GHAD will be
done in the presence of project geologic and geotechnlcal consultants to resolve any
such unanticipeted discrepancies. Since these hillside grading activities could expose
other such unanticipated hazards and since more detailed site specific examinations
could also produce anomalous resnlts, it is not entirely possible to idearifT each end
every area that could potentially be affectod by geologic hazards. In addition, the
activities of future homeowners in the (]HAD conld alter site conditions and the impact
of such unforeseen activities cannot filly be addressed in assessing fitare geologic
b~:,~ds. Also, geologic and soil conditions can alter with the passage of time and all
dam attached to this Plan of Control shonld be reviewed with reference to the date of
all such observations. Geologic bnTnrds observed prior to or upon grading shall be
mitigated in accordance with generally accepted geologic and geotechnical practice
according to the circumstances. Leaky plumbing, over irrigation, a change in drainage
gradients, c]ogging or blocking of drainage inlets or outlets, fires or other unforeseen
conditions can negatively impact the development's geological aspects.

The boundaries of the GHAD to which this plan applies shall exclude any and all
public roads, right of ways, and other terriWries owned by the City of Pleasanton, its
instzumcntalitles, or any other public agency bears responsibility for repairs and/or
maintenance.

This Plan of Control is intended to ful~II the reqnlremems of Public Resources Code
Section 26509 by describing geologic hazards, their locations and affected areas within
the district, and providing geologic and geotecl'mical instructions for the prevention,
mitigation, abatement or control or such hazards. This Plan is subject to revision and
modifications when and if any new conditions or information may become available.

Registration No. 556

6
