Section 4. Association Representatives <br /> <br />City Employees who are official representatives of the <br />Association shall be given reasonable time off with pay <br />to attend meetings with management representatives, or to <br />be present at hearings where matters within the scope of <br />representation are being considered. The use of official <br />time for this purpose shall be reasonable and shall not <br />interfere with the performance of City services as <br />determined by the City. Such employee representatives <br />shall submit written requests for excused absences to the <br />Police Chief, with an infoz~nation copy to the Personnel <br />Officer, at least two (2) calendar days prior to the <br />scheduled meeting whenever possible. NO more than two <br />(2) employees shall be excused for such purposes. The <br />Association shall submit a list of the officers of the <br />Association to the city Manager and notify the city <br />Manager in writing at such time there are any changes in <br />such Association officers. <br /> <br />Section 5. Salaries <br /> <br />5.1 Rates of PaY <br /> <br />The salary ranges for all employees in the Police <br />Employee Unit as set forth below represent, for each <br />classification, the standard rate of pay for full time <br />employment and represent the total compensation due <br />e~loyees, except for overtime compensation and other <br />benefits specifically provided by the City. Effective <br />March 31, 1994 the salary range of each classification <br />shall provide monthly salary ranges as follows: <br /> <br />Classification Stem A Sten B Stem C Sten D Stem R <br />Police Officer 3678 3864 4059 4273 4481 <br />Police Sergeant 4382 4592 4826 5065 5323 <br /> <br />5.2 <br /> <br />Field Trainin~ Officer Pay <br /> <br />Qualified Field Training Officers having been given a <br />training assignment by a supervisor shall receive an <br />amount equal to five percent (5%) of their regular <br />monthly pay for each month in which they spend forty (40) <br />hours training. If the hours spent training are less <br />than forty in a month, the officer shall receive 5% of <br />their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour spent <br />training. <br /> <br />5.3 <br /> <br />Actin~ Lieutenant Pay <br /> <br />A police sergeant assigned by the police chief to serve <br />as acting lieutenant for a minimum consecutive period of <br />seven (7) days shall receive a Sum equal to five percent <br />(5%) of their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour <br />worked in said acting assignment. <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
