27.3 <br /> <br />senior o~icer assigned to Traffic w..o possess nhe most <br />cumulative years of service in the Pleasanton Police <br />Department as a Police Officer to exercise their <br />preference for shift assignments. Those eligible may <br />select their shifts for a maximum of two continuous <br />rotations (six months). Once two consecutive rotations <br />have been completed, those eligible may be assigned to <br />any one of the three shifts for one rotation provided <br />that those eligible may submit a priority listing of <br />shifts for consideration. This provision does not apply <br />to sergeants. <br /> <br />If during the term of this MOU the City meets and confers <br />with any other employee group regarding the decision by <br />PERS to exclude in the calculation of retirement benefits <br />after June 30, 1994, salary increases resulting from <br />employee conversion of en~loyer paid member contributions <br />to salary the City shall also meet with representatives <br />of the POA for the same purpose. <br /> <br />Past Practices and Existin~ Memorandum of <br /> <br />28.1 <br /> <br />Continuance of working conditions and practices not <br />specifically authorized by ordinance or by resolution of <br />the City Council is not guaranteed by this Memorandum Of <br />Understanding. <br /> <br />28.2 <br /> <br />This Memorandum of Understanding shall supersede all <br />existing memoranda of understanding between the City and <br />the Association. <br /> <br />28.3 This Memorandum Of Understanding represents a complete <br /> and final understanding and agreement on all issues <br /> negotiated between the City repre ntatives and the <br /> Association's representatives~idZ~~ <br /> <br /> -25- <br />(c:\mou94.pol)jd <br /> <br /> <br />
