The City _'eserves the right to meet ~nd confer with the Association for the purposes of coordinating retired employees hospital and medical care in the event Federal or State legislation is implemented that effects retiree's medical insurance. 12.2 12.3 12.4 Dental Effective March 31, 1994, the City shall contribute an amount necessary to provide dental care benefits under the present Bankers Life Nebraska Plan for the individual employee and eligible dependents; provided, however, that in no event shall the City be obligated to contribute an amount in excess of sixty dollars and ninety six cents ($60.96) per month per employee to provide the aforesaid coverage. Lonu Term Disability Effective January 1, 1989, the City's maximum monthly contribution shall be increased to One Dollar and Eighty Four cents ($1.84) per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of monthly salary of the first $2,250.00 of monthly salary not to exceed a total contribution of Forty One Dollars and Thirty Nine cents ($41.39) per month per employee. Li~e, Accidental Death and Dism-m~erment Insurance Effective March 1, 1991 the city shall increase the present en~loyee $25,000 life and $25,000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage to $35,000 life and 835,000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage. The monthly premium for life insurance coverage shall be paid by the City. Section 13, Retirement 13.1 Payment of EmploYee Contribution to PERS Effective January 1, 1988, the City shall pay the employee's contribution to the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS), to include the "Single Highest Year" option. The amount of said City payment shall equal but not exceed nine percent (9%) of the employee's compensation subject to retirement contributions. The city shall allow an employee one time to convert from city payment Of the employee's nine percenf (9%) PERS contribution to employee payment of the nine percent (9%) PERS contribution. The employee's base monthly salary shall be increased nine percent (9%). Section 14. UnifOrms The City shall provide all necessary safety and protection clothing, as defined by the City Manager. The City shall provide fifty percent (50%) of the initial purchase price of uniforms for those employees required to wear a prescribed uniform.
