SECTION HI (Continued) <br /> <br />The City Manager shall determine the completeness of the request prior <br />to scheduling. The City Manager shall determine if any staff work is <br />necessary prior to scheduling. Adjournment <br /> <br />Format of Agenda <br /> <br />The agenda for regular meetings shall include, at a minimum, the following sections: <br /> <br />1. Call to Order and Pledte to Flat <br /> <br />The Mayor or Presiding Officer shall call the meeting m order at the designated <br />date and time specified on the agenda. <br /> <br />The Council shall assign, on a rotating basis, a member (excluding the Mayor) <br />to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Fullowin~ the Pledge, the assigned <br />Councilmember may then make remarks (e.g., commendations, quotatiom, <br />dedications), appropriate for opening the public meeting, not to exceed three <br />minutes. <br /> <br />2. Meeting Open to the Public <br /> <br />During the "Meeting Open to the Public" portion of a Council meeting, <br />any person may address the Council provided that the item (1) is of <br />interest to the public and is within the subject matmr jurisdiction of the <br />Council and (2) is not otherwise on the agenda. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
