PDA works on ~e twice-yearly event with Ftate <br />and Asscciates of Brisbane. Also in Octobe~ Downtown joined with ~e City Employees Association and Rec~ation <br />Dcparmnent to co-ho~t the fifth annual "Cat Walk" fo~ trick-or-treaters, This yeats sixth Cat Walk is set for Saturday, <br /> <br />BUDGET: <br /> <br /> Attached is a copy of the proposed assessment fee 1994-95 budget as set by the current Advisory <br />Committee. The budget assumes a beginning fund balance of about $7,000. <br /> The law which governs the Business Ilnpfovem eat District requires the assessment district to report <br />a fiscal badget. Since the City now collects on a calendar basis, the annual levy is being split in half for <br />budgetary reporting punposes. <br /> Set aside in the PDA bank account are beautiftoation funds that have come from various fundraising <br />activities such as Santa photos. Funds total $1,077.49. Current priorities for this money are new lights for <br />the City's Christmas tree in front of the Valley Museum (Two additional strings were added in 1993) and <br />a seasonal light pole banner program. <br /> Additional beautification projects, as well as PDA supported activities+ will be budgeted as needs <br />arise and funding is obtained. <br /> <br />MEMBERSHIPS: <br /> <br /> The Pleasanton Downtown Association holds active membership in the California Downtown <br />Association and the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. It was just voted by the Board of Directors/ <br />Marketing Committee to join the Pleasanton Convention ~nd Visitors Bureau. Many PDA members also <br />serve on Chamber and CVB committees, their Boards of Directors, and on City commissions. <br /> <br /> (2) <br /> <br /> <br />
