CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-039 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2000 WEED ABATEMENT <br />PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PROCEED <br />WITH ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE <br />UPON OR IN FRONT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED <br />PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHICH CONSTITUTE PUBLIC NUISANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 21, 2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 00-024 <br />declaring as a public nuisance all weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of <br />certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton as more particularly set <br />forth in Exhibit "A", attached thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 00-024 was adopted pursuant to the provisions of Government <br /> Code Sections 39501-39588; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said Resolution No. 00-024 designated April 18, 2000, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., at <br />the Pleasanton City Council Chambers, as the time, date and place to hear and <br />consider objections to the abatement and removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon <br />or in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton more <br />particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 00-024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Fire Inspector was charged with the responsibility to perform the duties <br />imposed by Government Code Sections 39560-39588, and he did prepare notices <br />to destroy weeds and remove rubbish and refuse, and did mail written notice of the <br />proposed abatement and removal to all persons owning property described in <br />Resolution No. 00-024 in the time, form and manner prescribed by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on April 18, 2000, and no protests were <br /> presented; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
