WttEREAS, WHEREAS, IWHEREAS, !RESOLVE AS CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 74-239 A ~ESOLUTION DECLARING AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF DIVISION STREET AND PETERS AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY TO THE ADJOINING PROPERTY O~qER the City of Pleasanton is the owner of a certain piece of property at the northeast corner of the intersection of Division Street and Peters Avenue, having a dimension of approximately 25.95 feet by 85.22 feet; and said piece of property was used by the City of Pleasanton as a site for City Hall Annex No. 1 prior to the construction of the City Administrative Building on Bernal Avenue; and said parcel is not being used by the City of Pleasanton and is unnecessary for street or parking purposes; and the City Council, at its meeting of December 9, 1974 received a report from the Director of Housing and Com- munity Development advising the Council that the parcel in question was surplus to the City of Pleasanton and had} no value to the City and requested authorization to sell the property to the adjoining property owner for $4.25 ~e~ square foot less the City's present $3,713.00 parking! assessment levied against the parcel upon the formation of Local Improvement District 74-10; and WHEP~AS, the City Council was also advised that the parcel in question was an excess piece of property acquired during the acquisition of right-of-way for Peters Avenue; and the Director of Housing and Community Development solici- ted informal bids for the purchase of said property and only !I~r. llichael Stanley, the adjacent property om~er, indicated a desire to purchase said property.
