CI^1Y OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAP~ DP. <br />STATE OF CALIFO &N IA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-53 <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF THE PLA~dNING <br />COP7MISSION TO REZONE FROI", THE S (STUDY) DISTRICT TO <br />TO THE R-1-6500 (SINGLE FAPflILY) DISTRICT A 17-ACRE <br />PARCEL LOCATED SOUTH OF ANGELA. STREET, LvEST OF <br />MIRADOR DRIVE, NORTH OF PICO AVENUE, AND IZ+LMEllIA^lELY <br />EAST OF THE FORP•~,R EASTER'V CITY LIMIT LINE. <br />WHEREAS, a portion of property was annexed to the City of <br />Pleasanton, known as Annexation No. 66, but at the <br />time of annexation, was not zoned to a particular <br />zoning designation and has remained in an S (Study) <br />District since such annexation; and <br />Vu'HEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of February <br />13, 1975, recommended that the aforementioned land <br />be rezoned from the S (Study) District to the P,-1-'u 500 <br />(Single Family) District; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to State law and City Ordinances, this zoning <br />was referred to the City Council for its consideration; <br />an d <br />V~IHEREAS, at its meeting of March 10, 1975, the City Council held <br />a public hearing at which time they considered all <br />inforn,ation presented by members of the public pertaining <br />to the proposed rezoning; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council was advised that this area is located <br />in a hilly section of the City of Pleasanton, having a <br />slope of more than l00 over the entire parcel of land; <br />an d <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney has been preparing a hillside ordin- <br />ance to control development in hillside areas. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCSL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTO2d DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOVIIS: <br />Section 1. Denies the application of the Planning Commission <br />to rezone from the S (Study) District to the R-1-6500 <br />
