CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAM::DA <br />STATE OF CALIFORPJIA <br />RF'SOT UTIQ?? i~10. 75-52 <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF' PETTIBOPIE <br />SIGNS FOR VALLEY REALTY FROP![ AN ADVERSE <br />DECISIOIQ OF ^1HE BOARD OF ADJUSTP9ENT PERTAIIJING <br />TO A VARIP.NCE REQUEST FOR SIGNING ON A PARCEL <br />OF PROPERTY LOCP.TED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF VALLEY <br />AVE.7UE APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET WEST OF SAN'PA <br />P.ITA ROAD. <br />YchEREAS, on January 8, 1975, the Board of Adjustment denied a <br />proposed free-standing sign noted as Sign Ido. 13 on <br />the site plan submitted to the Board of Adjustment; and <br />ti~THEREAS, this denial was based upon the necessity for a variance <br />in order to alloca the signing to be approved as re- <br />quested and would require a variance from the require- <br />ments of Section 2-9.43(x) Article 18, Chapter 2, Title <br />II, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to <br />allow the installation of a free-standing sign on a C-N <br />(deighborhood Cor:~mercial) zoned parcel less than three <br />acres in size as well as a variance to allow a iarcer <br />sign area than is allowed in a C-IQ District; and <br />4dHEREAS, Pettibone Signs has appealed the determination of the <br />Board of Adjustment to the City Council; and <br />l^IIIEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of b'iarch 10, 1975 <br />conducted a public hearing on said variance and took <br />testimony from all interested individuals pertaining to <br />said variance. <br />IQO'vT, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUIQCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTOPd DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />section 1. The appeal of Pettibone Signs from an adverse decision <br />o£ the "r,oard of Adjustment pertaining to the construction <br />of a proposed free-standing sign on a parcel of property <br />zoned C-Ld (Ldeighbo-rhood Commercial) located on tine nortr <br />side of Valley Avenue approximately 250 feet west of <br />Santa Rita Road is denied. 't'his denial is based upon <br />the following facts: <br />
