YchEREAS, on January 8, 1975, the Board of Adjustment denied a proposed free-standing sign noted as Sign Ido. 13 on the site plan submitted to the Board of Adjustment; and ti~THEREAS, this denial was based upon the necessity for a variance in order to alloca the signing to be approved as re- quested and would require a variance from the require- ments of Section 2-9.43(x) Article 18, Chapter 2, Title II, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow the installation of a free-standing sign on a C-N (deighborhood Cor:~mercial) zoned parcel less than three acres in size as well as a variance to allow a iarcer sign area than is allowed in a C-IQ District; and 4dHEREAS, Pettibone Signs has appealed the determination of the Board of Adjustment to the City Council; and l^IIIEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of b'iarch 10, 1975 conducted a public hearing on said variance and took testimony from all interested individuals pertaining to said variance. IQO'vT, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUIQCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTOPd DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: section 1. The appeal of Pettibone Signs from an adverse decision o£ the "r,oard of Adjustment pertaining to the construction of a proposed free-standing sign on a parcel of property zoned C-Ld (Ldeighbo-rhood Commercial) located on tine nortr side of Valley Avenue approximately 250 feet west of Santa Rita Road is denied.
