RESOLVED, RESOLVED hereby makes the following further findings with regard to Underground Utility District No. 75-1. The undergrounding to be accomplished pursuant to this resolution will avoid or eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities. The streets,roads and rights-of-way in the District are extensively used by general public and carry a heavy volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The said streets, roads and rights-of-way adjoin or pass through a civic area. FURTHER, that the following exceptions in said Under- ground Utility District No. 75-1 be and are hereby authorized, pursuant to ~5-9.50 of Article 2, Chapter 10, of Title V of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton: Poles, or electroliers used exclusively for street light~ ing. Overhead wires (exclusive of supporting structures) crossing any portion of the District within which over- head wires have been prohibited, or connectin~ to build- ings on the perimeter of the District, when such wires originate in an area from which poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures are not prohibited. Overhead wires attached to the exterior surface of a building by means of a bracket or other fixture and extending from one location on the building to another location on the same building or to an adjacent building without crossing any public street. Equipment appurtenant to underground facilities, such as surface mounted transformers, pedestal mounted term- inal boxes and meter cabinets, and concealed ducts. Temporary poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures used or to be used in conjunction with con- struction projects. FURTHER, that all poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures shall be removed and underground installations made in said Underground Utility District No. 75-1 within the following times: Affected property owners must be ready to receive underground service not later than September 1, 1975. b. Removal of poles, overhead wires and other associated structures no later than December 1, 1975.
