WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-137 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL <br />IMPACT REPORT ON THE PLEASANTON WATER QUALITY <br />CONTROL PROGRAM RELATING TO ALTERNATIVES 2-b <br />AND 5-b AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF A NOTICE <br />OF DETERMINATION REGARDING SAID PROJECTS. <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton presently operates a sewage <br />treatment facility known as the Sunol Plan which was <br />initially constructed in 1911 and modified over the <br />years; and <br />it has been the position of the Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board that the aforementioned Sunol Plant, <br />due to its age and operating problems experienced as <br />a result of its age, should be consolidated with a <br />modern facility presently serving one-half of the <br />citizens of the City of Pleasanton operated by the <br />Valley Community Services District; and <br />the City of Pleasanton and Valley Community Services <br />District in June, 1967 and again in November of 1972 <br />entered into agreements with respect to the consoli- <br />dation of their respective plants; and <br />the State Water Resources Control Board has required <br />the City to consider a variety of alternative means <br />of disposing of sewage for the City of Pleasanton in <br />order to accomplish the expansion of the Valley Com- <br />munity Services District Plant pursuant to State and <br />Federal grant funding programs; and <br />a study was made by Kennedy Engineers of San Francisco <br />on behalf of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> <br />
