CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-169 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE- <br />FIGHTERS LOCAL 1974 AND FIXING SALARIES AND <br />CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR ENUMERATED CLASSES <br />OF EMPLOYEES, AND AMENDING THE 1975-76 BUDGET <br />ACCORDINGLY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton, acting through the City Manager as employer <br /> representative of the City Council, and the International Association <br /> of Firefighters Local 1974 have met and conferred pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Section 3500, et. seq., of the Government Code in <br /> regard to wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment <br /> for members of the International Association of Firefighters Local <br /> 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the above meeting and conferring process a Memoran- <br /> dum of Understanding dated August 7, 1975, was entered into between <br /> the City Manager and representatives of the International Associ- <br /> ation of Firefighters Local 1974; and <br />WHEREAS, said Memorandum of Understanding was presented to the City Council <br /> <br /> at the regular meeting of August 11, 1975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are employees not represented by the International. Association <br /> of Firefighters Local 1974 to whom the City Council wishes to <br /> provide salary adjustments and benefits in order that all employees <br /> are treated fairly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on May 27, 1975, by Resolution No. 75-108, approved <br /> the City Manager's proposed Budget for the 1975-76 Fiscal Year. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS <br />FOLLOWS: : <br /> <br />Section 1. The Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the City <br />Manager and representatives of International Association of Fireifghters <br /> <br />Local 1974 dated August 7 , 1975, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated <br />herein by reference is hereby accepted by the City Council of the City of <br />P]easanton subject to the terms and conditions contained in the Memorandum of <br />Understanding. <br /> <br />ingly. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 74-161 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 5.
